A new Electric Light Orchestra single has just been released, and it’s lush. Called ‘One Step At A Time‘, the ELO single is actually from just frontman Jeff Lynne who, according to him, played every instrument on the album except for “the shaker and the tambourine”.
In fact, as Lynne says, the whole album is a two-man endeavor between Lynne himself and his engineer Steve Jay.
But, that certainly hasn’t given us anything that’s lacking. In fact, Jeff Lynne ELO’s ‘One Step At A Time‘ is just as wonderful as when the entire band was all together during my childhood decades ago. And definitely as ELO sounding as they were back then, especially when you get to that fabulous chorus.
Jeff Lynne’s ELO’s ‘When I Was A Boy‘ is brilliant
‘One Step At A Time‘ is the third song Lynne has released from his upcoming new album Alone In The Universe (an apt title, it seems) so far, with the album itself available for pre-order . It releases on November 13th.
