Jeon Do Yeon and Kim Ji Won to star in The Price of Confession drama?

The upcoming Korean drama The Price of Confession (working title) has had problems when it comes to finding a solid cast after actresses Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee initially accepted offers to star in the drama then backed out last year.

Late in December, it was then reported the fabulous Jeon Do Yeon (Crash Course in Romance) had been offered one of the lead roles in the drama.

The actress’s agency Management SOOP confirmed she was reviewing the offer.

Now, the latest news out of Korea about the potential The Price of Confession cast says Kim Ji Won (My Liberation Notes) has also received an offer to star in the series.

Kim Ji Won’s agency HighZium Studio also confirmed she had received an offer, and was currently reviewing it.

What we know about The Price of Confession so far

The Price of Confession (aka 자백의 대가 in Korea) is being directed by Lee Jeong Hyo (Crash Landing on You and Romance is a Bonus Book).

A director who is known for both his box office success with hits like Doona!, Life on Mars, and The Good Wife and also for his superb artistic talents.

The drama tells the story of two women who find themselves involved in a murder case.

Jeon Do Yeon has been offered the role of Ahn Yoon So, while Kim Ji Won may play Mo Eun, a woman surrounded by mystery.

Should both the actresses accept the lead roles, it could mean we get an exciting drama performed by two of the most talented Korean actresses working today.

After all, Jeon Do Yeon turned in phenomenal performances in both Crash Course in Romance and the Netflix film Kill Boksoon last year, while Kim Ji Won did a super job in 2022’s My Liberation Notes and in The Arthdal Chronicles.

Get these two amazing women together on screen, and the result could be explosive.

No information has been released as to when The Price of Confession will begin filming, when it will air or which TV network, or streaming platform it will air on.

We will keep you updated as soon as we find out.
