I became a fan of Austrian singer Julian le Play after Hitradio Ö3 gave me a list of Austrian singers to try and his name was on it. He has a lovely voice, his songs are catchy and often quite romantic, and he usually sings in German, which I like.
A few weeks ago, I featured Julian le Play’s song ‘Phönix’ as my Repeat Rotation Video. Today, I’m back with le Play and his awesome song ‘Mein Anker‘, which hit number 6 in the Austrian charts.
The version I’m listening to for today’s Repeat Rotation Video is Julian le Play singing ‘Mein Anker‘ live at Donauinselfest 2014, as it’s such a beautiful performance — extended as it is.
And, with it’s fabulous beat, and cool keyboard and guitar solo, a great song to usher out the old year with, I think.
