Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Tequila‘ cover of the Dan + Shay original is another cool and fun live performance the American singer songwriter gave on her successful talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show this week.
Her latest cover performance, of course, is part of the show’s very popular Kellyoke segment and was heard on today’s show — April 7th, 2020.
Clarkson’s Kellyoke performance of Dan + Shay’s ‘Tequila‘ is not the first time she has sung the song either.
That happened on the 2019 Billboard Music Awards when Kelly was also the host of the event.
She began that excellent performance from sitting in the audience and then walking up onto the stage where she sang a superb medley of songs including ‘Tequila’ while accompanied by backing dancers.
And, of course, the country pop track is the perfect song for Kelly as doesn’t she seem to be the type of woman that loves to kick back, relax and enjoy a couple of drinks while she hangs out with family and friends?
Country music duo Dan + Shay’s ‘Tequila‘ was originally released in January, 2018 as the lead single from the pair’s third studio album.
The song eventually went on to win a Grammy Award for Dan + Shay as the Best Country Group/Duo Performance.
