Laura Pausini’s ‘Non è detto‘ music video goes viral with 1 million views in 24 hours
I have to admit, I had never heard of Italian singer Laura Pausini.
Not until two years ago, when an Italian friend who has followed her for years, introduced her music to me. Since then, I have been similarly hooked. Just like the millions of other fans she has around the world.
That being said, even I was a little surprised at how quickly Laura Pausini’s ‘Non è detto‘ music video got 1 million views on YouTube this week. In 24 hours. That’s all it took.
Pausini’s ‘Non è detto‘ (It’s not for sure) is the new single from the superstar Italian singer. It is from her upcoming album Fatti Sentire, and was written by Pausini in collaboration with Niccolò Agliardi, Gianluigi Fazio and Edwyn Roberts.
As for the music video for’Non è detto’, it is beautifully filmed in muted, greys and blues, and has Pausini sitting in a boat on an empty beach singing about how what happens in a relationship is never ‘for sure’.
The relationship she used to be in is then shown in a montage of beach scenes with the man who was in love with her and Pausini together but completely separated from each other, interspersed with video Polaroids showing both of them looking unhappy and lost.
The video ends with Pausini facing the man and telling him “Perdonami per questi giorni, non ho saputo come fare” — “Forgive me for these days. I did not know how to handle them”.
The album Fatti Sentire is due for release on March 16th, 2018.
Laura Pausini will be involved with promotion for the album over the next few months, before she performs for two historic evenings at Circus Maximus in July. Unbelievably, the Rome entertainment venue has never had a woman perform there before so, yes, this is a first.
Pausini’s Circus Maximus performance will also kick off her new world tour that will start soon afterwards with concerts planned in the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Spain, France, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland.
