Lewis Capaldi performs ‘Bruises’ live on Skavlan and wow, those vocals

Scottish singer songwriter Lewis Capaldi made an appearance on the Norwegian-Swedish talk show Skavlan earlier in the month, where he gave a beautiful live performance of his single ‘Bruises‘.

A song Capaldi originally self-released, and then re-released a few months later when he signed with Virgin Records.

As usual, Lewis Capaldi proved with his live performance of the song on Skavlan that his skyrocketing fame and success is highly deserved, as his voice live is just as superb as it is on any recording.

Capaldi’s ‘Bruises itself was written by the Scottish singer after a break-up with his girlfriend, as he wanted to express how he felt about the break-up and her, even if he knew they would probably never get back together.

He later said the song was written by himself and co-writer James Earp and then recorded in just a matter of hours.

The song was eventually such a big hit for him, it was certified Platinum in the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, and Gold in Italy.
