Listen to Aerosmith’s ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing’ from The Summer I Turned Pretty S2 Ep 1 as the band performs

A cover of the Aerosmith song was that cool track performed by the band on The Summer I Turned Pretty, Episode 1

That song the band performed at the party during The Summer I Turned Pretty, Season 2, Episode 1, “Love Lost” was a cover of the American hard rock band Aerosmith’s 1980s smash hit ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing‘.

The track came out in 1988 and became a massive hit for the band as it was released as the theme song for the Bruce Willis blockbuster film Armageddon.

The power rock song had an added piece of interesting trivia attached to it as well, as Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler’s daughter Liv Tyler played the female lead in the movie.

‘I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing‘ hit #1 in 10 countries

Aerosmith’s ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing‘ charted at #1 on charts in 10 countries, making the most impact in the United States where it appeared on seven charts.

Two of those charts were the Billboard Hot 100 and the Mainstream Top 40, where the rock track made it to #1.

The song has since become Aerosmith’s biggest hit, and one of their most commercially successful single releases.

Listen to Aerosmith’s ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing‘ as was nicely performed by the band on the first episode of Season 2 of The Summer I Turned Pretty on the Spotify widget, and in the track’s official music video.

The music video features Aerosmith performing the track live on a set that was very NASA-insignia heavy, while interspersed with scenes from Armageddon.

Meanwhile, every episode of the first season of The Summer I Turned Pretty is streaming via Amazon Prime Video, with the first three episodes of the just-premiered Season 2 also available.
