American rock band Algiers’ ‘Death March‘ was featured on the latest episode of the crime thriller The Blacklist last night — The Blacklist, Season 7, Episode 2, “Louis T. Steinhil: Conclusion“.
The track was heard at the beginning of the episode as Katarina and her crew arrives at Dom’s house, and Frankie updates her about the situation.
The song continues playing as we see Red coordinating an attack on Katrina’s men.
Algiers’ ‘Death March’ is from The Underside of Power, the band’s sophomore studio album.
Released in 2017 via Matador Records, it was produced by Portishead’s Adrian Utley and Ali Chant and received widespread critical acclaim.
Interestingly, the album only charted in Switzerland (in the 69th spot on the Swiss album chart), but was one of the most widely critically acclaimed albums on 2017.
Algiers also performed a stunning live version of ‘Death March‘ on public radio station KEXP back in September, 2017. You can watch and listen to that performance in the video below.
