American Author ‘Best Day of My Life’ featured on the soundtrack of new Netflix rom com

Indie rock band American Authors are known for their massive power songs that make you want to live your life in the best way you can.

That is probably why the Music Supervisor of the new Netflix rom com Falling Inn Love chose American Authors’ ‘Best Day of My Life‘ for the film’s soundtrack.

The song was the track playing at the open house.

American Authors’ ‘Best Day of My Life‘ was the third single from the band’s debut album Oh, What a Life.

Released in 2014, the track made it onto the charts in a huge number of countries — 19 countries, in fact — including the U.S. (on seven charts, and #1 on Billboard’s Adult Top 40 chart) and the United Kingdom.

It was also certified Platinum or Gold in six countries, including a 3x Platinum certification in the United States.

American Authors’ ‘Best Day of My Life‘ on TV and in movies

It’s not just the song’s huge success when it was first released that is so remarkable either.

Before the song showed up on Falling Inn Love, ‘Best Day of My Life‘ was also featured on the soundtracks of hit TV series like The Vampire Diaries and Glee.

It was used in films as diverse as Top Cat Begins, Alpha and Omega: The Legend of the Saw Tooth Cave and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, and in several video games.

Because, yes, it really does have a high energy and an ability to make you feel awesome you don’t get in that many tracks.
