The new season of the Apple TV Plus comedy drama Physical premiered on the streaming platform today, with the usual cool music played as its soundtrack.
Songs like Amii Stewart’s ‘Knock on Wood‘, which was the song playing on Physical, Season 3, Episode 1, “Like a Whole New Woman” right at the beginning of the episode as Sheila is running a class.
Disco and soul singer Amii Stewart’s ‘Knock on Wood‘ was released in 1979, and was the singer’s biggest hit.
Even though the song had already been released by several other prominent artists, including Eddie Floyd and David Bowie prior to Stewart recording it, her version went on to become the most well-known and the one with the biggest success.
The track charted at #1 in Canada, as well as going on to hit the top spot on the coveted Billboard Hot 100 chart.
It also ranked high up on charts in 14 countries, including the UK, Austria and Australia.
The track also earned Stewart a Grammy nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance a year after its release.

Physical stars Rose Byrne, Rory Scovel and Paul Sparks, with the first two episodes of Season 3 now streaming via Apple TV.
The comedy drama’s third season is its last.
