The ABC drama A Million Little Things continued its fifth season this week and, along with the usual family drama, also included the usual stellar songs on its soundtrack.
Songs like Aretha Franklin’s ‘(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman‘, which showed up on A Million Little Things, Season 5, Episode 5, “No Place Like Home” last night.
Aretha Franklin’s ‘(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman‘ was sung by Sophie and Walter on the episode.
The classic soul song itself was first released by Franklin in 1967 as a single on the Atlantic record label.
Interestingly, while the track was a hit for Franklin, making it onto charts in Australia and Canada, and hitting #2 on the Billboard R&B chart, #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #12 on the U.S. Cash Box Top 100, it wasn’t her biggest hit.
But, it did become Franklin’s signature song in later years.
Listen to Aretha Franklin’s ‘(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman‘ as heard on A Million Little Things this week, on the singer’s 1968 album Lady Soul and in the video.
The now late Aretha Franklin also gave a gorgeous live performance of the song at the Kennedy Center in 2015 in front of President Obama you should check out below.
