Listen to Au Revoir Simone’s ‘A Violent Yet Flammable World‘ from ‘Twin Peaks’ Season 3, Episode 9
Now mid-way through the new Showtime series ‘Twin Peaks‘, the show continues to have some superb indie artists performing at the Bang Bang Bar in each episode.
One of two artists to appear this week on stage at the bar was dream pop band Au Revoir Simone, who played their song ‘A Violent Yet Flammable World‘. (Season 3, Episode 9, “The Return”).]
And it is the second time Au Revoir Simone has appeared on this newest season of the iconic ‘Twin Peaks’, as they also appeared in an earlier episode with ‘Lark‘. (Episode 4) Proving, it seems, when director and screenwriter David Lynch finds indie music he loves, he gives it as much support as he can.
‘A Violent Yet Flammable World‘ is an older track from the three-woman band, coming from their second studio album The Bird of Music, which was released in 2007 on their own Our Secret Record Company label. It is also a dreamy, atmospheric and pretty song that has you hitting ‘repeat’ over and over again as it is so perfect for this strange but brilliant show.

You can buy Au Revoir Simone’s The Bird of Music album on most major music sites. Because, my God, is that a pretty album.
