Listen to Bazzi’s ‘Mine’ from Riverdale, Season 5, Episode 6, “Chapter Eighty-Two: Back to School”

American singer songwriter and record producer Bazzi’s ‘Mine‘ was that ridiculously addictive song that was played on Riverdale last night — Riverdale, Season 5, Episode 6, “Chapter Eighty-Two: Back to School“.

The song was heard as Betty and Archie are in the backseat of the car making out.

As for Bazzi’s ‘Mine‘, the song comes with an interesting story as it was first self-released by the singer as a digital release.

Soon after, it became an Internet meme on Snapchat, which catapulted the song’s streams into crazy numbers while also grabbing the attention of Warner Music, who soon signed Bazzi to a record deal.

Mine‘ eventually charted in 32 countries (that’s the reach of platforms like Snapchat!), making it to #1 both in Belgium and on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart.

The track was also certified Gold or Platinum in 13 countries, and 5 x Platinum in the United States.

Since Bazzi’s release of ‘Mine‘, he has released a debut album, a mixtape and several singles — some in collaboration with artists like Netsky and Lil Wayne, 21 Savage and Camila Cabello.

Bazzi has also been finding a lot of work in Asia in the last couple of years, having worked with bands like K-Pop stars EXO and NCT Dream, and with Chinese singer Lay Zhang.

Listen to Bazzi’s ‘Mine‘ in the song’s official music video. It currently has almost 179 million views on YouTube.

The track is loved for its lyric “You so fucking precious when you smile”, and for its sweet and addictive melody.
