The track playing over the end credits of last night’s episode of And Just Like That… was American rapper Big Freedia’s ‘Chasing Rainbows‘ feat. Kesha — And Just Like That…, Episode 8, “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered“.
The upbeat rap song was released in 2020 on Big Freedia’s Louder EP, which not only featured the collab with Kesha, but also songs recorded with Icona Pop, The Soul Rebels and lil aaron.
Big Freedia herself (she’s a gay male, but prefers to go by she/her), has been recording music since 1999. Although her work has become much more popular, and she has collaborated with far more high profile people since 2010 than ever before.
An extremely prolific musician, Big Freedia has released an enormous number of non-album and album singles in the last decade, as well as collabs with the likes of Boyz II Men, Sia, Diplo, RuPaul and, of course, Kesha.
She has been particularly tight with Kesha, with the pair releasing several songs together, and Big Freedia even supposed to go on tour in 2020 with her until the Covid mess put paid to that.

They really do create a cool sound.
As for And Just Like That…, it’s still about stupid people with stupid lives nobody cares about except themselves, newly ‘woke’ and now trying to push their woke politics down our throats.
