British singer Billie Marten’s ‘Bird‘ was featured on ‘Shadowhunters‘ this week — Season 2, Episode 2, “A Door Into The Dark“. The track was played when Izzy apologizes to Clary about what Alec said to her.
‘Marten’s ‘Bird‘ is from her debut album Writing of Blues and Yellows, which was released late last year.
As for Billie Marten, she was discovered online at the age of 12 after videos she was uploading to YouTube were getting tens of thousands of views. By the age of 15, she had a recording contract.
Since then, she has released two EPs and an album, and was one of the artists nominated for the BBC Sound of 2016 award.
