American alternative country/folk rock singer ongwriter Brandi Carlile’s ‘Wherever is Your Heart‘ was one of a few tracks played on the medical drama The Good Doctor soundtrack this week — The Good Doctor, Season 6, Episode 16, “The Good Lawyer“.
The song was played as Joni is giving her closing argument, then continues during the flashback as we see Joni as a little girl in court.
It continues playing as the verdict is given, and then as Joni and Shaun are at the hospital.
The song was released in 2014 as the first track on Brandi Carlile‘s fifth studio album The Firewatcher’s Daughter, which came out on the indie record label ATO.
It was an album that hit the top spot on the Top Rock Albums chart and on the Folk Albums chart in the United States.
It also made it to #4 on the Billboard Top Tastemaker Albums chart.
The Firewatcher’s Daughter went on to chart in Switzerland, and eventually earned Carlile her first ever Grammy Award nomination in the category of Best Americana Album.
