American soft rock band Bread’s ‘Baby I’m-A Want You‘ was played on the latest episode of the superhero series Titans this week — Titans, Season 4, Episode 8, “Caul’s Folly“.
The song was released as a single in 1971 and a second time as the title track from the band’s fourth studio album, which came out in 1972.
As a single, Bread’s ‘Baby I’m-A Want You‘ was a big hit for the California-based band.
The cool rock song climbed to #3 on the Billboard 200 chart, #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart, as well as charting in the UK, Canada and Australia.
The track was also eventually certified Gold in the United States.
The album of the same name also went to #3 on the Billboard 200 chart, #9 on the UK Albums chart, and #9 on the Canadian RMP Albums chart.
Since its release, the song has became one of Bread’s most popular and most recognizable songs with fans.
Bread itself was founded in 1968, had a couple of break ups and reformations, and then finally broke up permanently in 1997.
During the almost 30 years between formation and disbanding, Bread released six studio albums, 12 compilation albums, and more than a dozen singles.
