American rock singer songwriter Bret Alexander’s ‘Time For Pride‘ was one of the tracks played on the soundtrack of the new episode of the Showtime series City on a Hill yesterday — City on a Hill, Season 2, Episode 5, “East of Eden” — which aired on April 25th, 2021.

The upbeat rock song was released in 2018 on the 24-track Indie Rock Vocals, Vol. 8 compilation via Nilsson Online Distribution.

As for Bret Alexander, he is a Pennsylvania-based singer, songwriter and producer, who got his start as a studio engineer before joining the roots rock band The Badlees as guitarist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.

After performing with The Badlees for several years, Alexander began recording and releasing his own solo music.

As a solo artist, he has gone on to open for or share a bill with a huge number of music luminaries.

The include Meat Loaf, The Gin Blossoms, The Rembrandts, Robert Plant & Jimmy Page, Dwight Yoakam, Cheap Trick, Marshall Tucker Band, Del Amitri, Blue Oyster Cult and Lisa Loeb.

Five studio albums later, Alexander released his latest album Downhill last year in collaboration with Tom Flannery.

The rock singer songwriter is currently working on both a compilation album and a new studio album.
