The new CBS series Buddy Games premiered last night with six teams competing against each other to win both physical and mental challenges.
Alongside the fun and games, Buddy Games also features some decent songs on its soundtrack.
They include the classic Bruce Springsteen song ‘Glory Days’, which showed up on Buddy Games, Season 1, Episode 1, “Let the Buddy Games Begin!” playing over the intro.
What is Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Glory Days’ about?
Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Glory Days‘ was the fifth single released from the now-iconic album Born in the U.S.A.
The popular rock singer wrote the song about a man looking back on his high school days — his’glory days’ now that he is all grown up and realizing life as an adult did not turn out as well as he wanted it to.
Not only him, though, but also the most popular people he knew in high school with the biggest potential. People who not only didn’t fulfill their potential, but also didn’t get the happiness they thought they would either.
The track became a big hit for the American rock singer at the time, ranking on charts in 14 countries and being certified Silver in the UK and Platinum in the U.S. and Australia.
It has since gone on to become one of his most popular songs.
