Listen to Cardi B.’s ‘WAP’ from Dumb Money opening scenes

Cardi B’s ‘WAP‘ feat Megan Thee Stallion is that cool hip hop song playing over the opening scenes of the new movie Dumb Money this week, as Gabe runs to his office to check how the stock market is doing.

It plays again as he realizes it is Keith Gill that is driving all the GameStop stock buys.

Now I am not usually a fan of Cardi B. due to the lyrics of her usually profanity-laden songs. Sorry, they’re just not my cup of tea.

Profane-laden lyrics that are definitely up front and center in Cardi B’s ‘WAP’ .

But, I have to admit the song’s beat and her rap style is addictive in ‘WAP‘. So much so, the damn song has now been bouncing around my head for hours. Yikes.

When was Cardi B.’s ‘WAP‘ released?

Cardi B. released ‘WAP‘ featuring Megan Thee Stallion on August 7th, 2020 as the lead single from the rapper’s still-to-be-released second studio album.

Despite its sexually-laden/profanity-laden lyrics, ‘WAP‘ went on to rank high up charts in over 35 countries, although it performed the best in the U.S. where it hit #1 on four charts including the Billboard Hot 100 and in the United Kingdom and Australia — both countries where it climbed to #1 on two charts.

The song was also critically acclaimed by much of the mainstream music media, although several did admit it was the most sexually-explit song to ever be that successful on music charts.

Listen to Cardi B.’s ‘WAP’ feat. Megan Thee Stallion as heard on Dumb Money via the Spotify player, and in the song’s official music video.

A music video, by the way, that was lauded for not only its interesting visuals but also because it was decided to use the tracks’ ‘clean version’ of the song to allow it to be played on more platforms.
