Listen to CHVRCHES’ ‘It’s Not Right But It’s Okay’ the TORE Ep 1 opening credits song

The Swedish drama TORE premiered on Netflix yesterday with six episodes of “will he finally admit how he feels” and an entire soundtrack of bloody lovely songs.

Songs like Scottish synth pop band CHVRCHES’ ‘It’s Not Right But It’s Okay‘, which was the song playing right after Tore’s dad is killed, and as the opening titles begin to play.

It is also the track Tore dances to, alone, out in the dark.

When was CHVRCHES’ ‘It’s Not Right But It’s Okay‘ released?

The Scottish indie band released ‘CHVRCHES’ ‘It’s Not Right But It’s Okay’ on the band’s five-track EP The Mother We Share via Glassnote Records in November, 2013 a couple of months after the release of their debut studio album.

It was then re-released a year later on the 18-track Asian deluxe edition bonus disc version of their debut studio album The Bones of What You Believe.

The CHVRCHES‘ version of the song is actually a cover of a Whitney Houston track the late American singer recorded as a single from her fourth album My Love is Your Love in 1999.

That track went on to become a worldwide hit for the iconic R&B pop and soul singer, while the CHVRCHES’ version is still one of their lesser-known songs.

Listen to ‘CHVRCHES’ ‘It’s Not Right But It’s Okay’, which was played as the TORE intro song, in the video and on their debut album on Spotify.

The Scottish band also gave a sweet live performance of the song during the launch party for their debut album via Boiler Room in 2013.

Check that out in the Boiler Room video below.
