Listen to Clairity’s ‘Don’t Panic’ from ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

There’s a fabulous cover of Coldplay’s ‘Don’t Panic‘ recorded by American singer songwriter Clairity. A cover that not only showed up on the soundtrack of The Vampire Diaries last month (Season 7, Episode 22 – “Gods & Monsters” — May 13th, 2016), but also appeared in the Super Bowl 50 trailer for the just released blockbuster movie X-Men: Apocalypse.

Not bad for a singer who is only 18 years old, and was only signed to Lava Records last year

As for Clairity’s ‘Don’t Panic‘ and what makes it so beautiful? It’s the way she sings the song — as her voice is ethereal but quirky, haunting but also relatable — and the way the song has been slowed down so that it increases the drama and the emotion. So much so the song and her voice stick in your head long after she has finished singing.

If you love this version of ‘Don’t Panic‘ as much as I do, keep your eyes peeled for Clairity’s debut album. She’s currently working on it, with a possibility of a late 2016 release date.

And, of course, you can hear Coldplay’s original track on their album Parachutes.

Meanwhile, listen to Clairity’s ‘Don’t Panic‘ cover in the video below. Isn’t that just unbelievably gorgeous?
