Listen to Coleman Hawkins’ ‘Think Deep’ from Marvel’s Luke Cage — Soulful and Sweet

Season 1, Episode 1 (“Moment of Truth”) of Marvel’s Luke Cage has some awesome music. One of the best tracks, I think though, is Coleman Hawkins’ ‘Think Deep‘, a classic piece of saxophone jazz music heard when Luke kisses Misty goodnight.

It’s a piece that is so soulful and sweet, it requires a glass of wine, a roaring fire and a pretty girl or handsome man right there beside you to do it justice.

Coleman Hawkins was an American jazz tenor saxophonist who is known as one of the first jazz saxophonist to really put the instrument on the map.

His career went on the upswing in 1921 and continued pretty strongly until his death due to alcoholism in 1969.

Think Deep‘ was first released in 1957 on Coleman Hawkins’ album The Hawk Flies High. You can still grab the album on most major music sites, and listen to the track itself in the video below.
