Irish singer songwriter Damien Rice‘s ‘Trusty and True‘ was featured on the latest episode of the medical drama series New Amsterdam this week — New Amsterdam, Season 2, Episode 4, “The Denominator“.
The track was played as Floyd tells Harmony her father got through surgery, Iggy starts the application process for adopting a child, Max tells Karen about his plans and then as he stops to play basketball.
Damien Rice’s ‘Trusty and True‘ was the lead single from the singer’s third studio album My Favourite Faded Fantasy.
Released in 2014, it was Rice’s first album for eight years, was favorably critically received and was a commercial success for the indie singer.
My Favourite Faded Fantasy charted in 15 countries, hitting the number 1 spot in Ireland, number 2 in Holland and number 4 in Belgium.
It also charted high in the United States and the UK.
The album was not just a solo release from the singer either as a total of 28 musicians played or sang on the album, including several from Iceland and Ireland.
