Listen to Dean Lewis’s ‘Half a Man’ from Legacies, Season 2, Episode 7

Australian pop singer songwriter Dean Lewis’s ‘Half a Man‘ was played on the new episode of the fantasy drama Legacies this week — Legacies, Season 2, Episode 7, “It Will All Be Painfully Clear Soon Enough” (which aired on December 5th, 2019).

The song was heard as Landon was obsessing over his problems with Hope and Josie, and as Hope waits for Lizzie and Josie in the park.

Dean Lewis’s ‘Half a Man‘ is from the Aussie singer’s debut album A Place We Knew. Released in March of this year, Lewis explained at the time of release that all of the songs were written about his own real-life past relationships, and from the pain he felt when they were over.

The album hit the #1 spot in Australia and subsequently won the award for Album of the Year at the 2019 ARIA Music Awards. Lewis was also awarded Best Male Artist.

A Place We Knew also charted in 17 other countries, including the United Kingdom and the U.S., and was ultimately certified Double Platinum in Australia and Gold in Canada.

The album spawned four singles, although ‘Half a Man‘ was not one of them.

A surprise as the song is beautiful, grabs you emotionally and then tugs on your heart because of Lewis’ gorgeous vocals and his quirky and cool accent when he sings.
