Listen to DMX’ ‘Party Up (Up in Here)’ from 9-1-1: Lone Star, Season 3, Ep. 11

The late American rapper DMX’s ‘Party Up (Up in Here)‘ was one of the tracks played on the latest episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star last night — 9-1-1: Lone Star, Season 3, Episode 11, “Prince Albert in a Can“.

The track was played as Carlos is working out, and then Grace swings by.

DMX’s ‘Party Up (Up in Here)‘ is one of the biggest hits the rapper had in his more than 30 year career.

The track was first released as the second single from his third studio album …And Then There Was X, which came out in February, 2000.

The song shot up the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart to #8, and also made it to #27 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

It was eventually certified 2 x Platinum in the U.S., and nominated for a Grammy Award.

As for DMX himself, he had a very successful 30-plus year career as both a rapper and actor. He died in April, 2021 due to a heart attack brought on from cocaine use.

A sad waste of an extremely talented man.

Listen to DMX’s ‘Party Up (Up in Here)‘ as heard on last night’s 9-1-1: Lone Star in the song’s music video, and on his …And Then There Was X album.

The video features the rapper as a guy in a bank who is mistaken by police as a bank robber.

The latest season of 9-1-1: Lone Star is currently airing on FOX.
