Listen to DMX’s ‘X Gon’ Give It to Ya’ from For All Mankind, S4 Ep 7 end credits

American rapper DMX’s ‘X Gon’ Give It to Ya‘ was that cool gangsta rap song playing over the For All Mankind, Season 4, Episode 7 end credits this week.

It began playing right after Dev and Ed meet in Ed’s quarters, and Dev tells him he wants to steal the asteroid. From the look on Ed’s face as the episode ends, it appears he may want to help him.

When was DMX’s ‘X Gon’ Give It to Ya‘ released?

The gangsta rap, hip hop track was the lead single from the soundtrack for the hit action film  Cradle 2 the Grave, and came out in mid-February, 2003 via Def Jam Recordings and Bloodline Records.

The soundtrack album featured tracks from a slew of hip hop artists and rappers alongside DMX, including Drag-On, C-N-N, Joe Budden and Obie Trice.

The song was also released on the rapper’s greatest hits album The Definition of X: The Pick of the Litter, four years later, but this time as a hidden track.

During its initial release, and due to the popularity of the hit film it came from, DMX’s ‘X Gon’ Give It to Ya’ charted in six countries.

The rap song’s highest ranking was at #2 on the UK Hip Hop/R&B chart, as well as at #6 on the UK Singles chart, #7 in Scotland, and with rankings on three charts in the U.S. including at #60 on the Billboard Hot 100.

X Gon’ Give It to Ya’ has also gone on to become popular with TV show and movie music supervisors due to its powerfully rough sound, as it has been licensed for play on shows like Rick and Morty, The Equalizer, Welcome to Wrexham. Shameless, and Euphoria, and on films like Deadpool and Deadpool 2.

Listen to DMX’s ‘X Gon’ Give It to Ya’ as heard playing over the For All Mankind end credits in the song’s official music video, and via the late rapper’s The Definition of X: The Pick of the Litter album.

DMX himself died in April, 2021 at the age of 50 after a heart attack due to a drug overdose.
