Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 soundtrack is superb as it includes classics like Earth, Wind & Fire’s ‘Reasons

Long-time American vocal group Earth, Wind and Fire’s ‘Reasons’ is one of the many, many cool songs played on the superb Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 soundtrack.

That superhero movie released in the U.S. on May 5th and is being talked about not just for the characters, the plot, and the stunning action but also for the very cool classic songs featured on its soundtrack.

Songs like Earth, Wind and Fire’s ‘Reasons, which was heard in the movie as Groot is flying the ship trying to save the team, and Drax gets shot.

The track plays later as Peter manages to break the OrgoCorp’s code and escape.

Reasons‘ is one of Earth, Wind and Fire’s oldest releases, as it came out on the group’s sixth studio album That’s the Way of the World way back in March, 1975.

An album that was also the soundtrack for the Harvey Keitel movie of the same name.

As well as one that became a hit for the group in the United States, going on to rank at #1 on both the Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart, and the Top Soul LPs chart.

It also ranked well in Canada.

Earth, Wind and Fire’s ‘Reasons’ isn’t a romantic song but it sure sounds like one, eh?

As for Earth, Wind and Fire’s ‘Reasons, it really is a weird one.

After all, while the song was originally written about having a one-night stand:

Now, I’m craving your body, is this real
Temperature’s rising, I don’t want to feel
I’m in the wrong place to be real
And I’m longing to love you just for a night
Kissing and hugging and holding you tight

after its release, ‘Reasons‘ became an incredibly popular wedding song as, to many people, it just sounds highly romantic.

Go figure!
