Ellie Goulding’s ‘Still Falling for You’ was that cool track playing on the new season of Surviving Summer this week right at the beginning of the episode — Surviving Summer, Season 2, Episode 1, “Selection“.
The track plays as Summer is in the water surfing and then see Ari surfing near her.
It continues playing as the two swim towards each other and then as… the scene flips to Summer lying on her bed listening to the song, while daydreaming about Ari.
When was Ellie Goulding’s ‘Still Falling for You‘ first released?
The song was originally released for the 2016 movie Bridget Jones’ Baby, which caused the pop track to experience huge worldwide success.
‘Still Falling for You‘ charted in 24 countries, with its highest showing at #3 in Hungary, as well as a #3 showing on the United States’ Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart.
It went on to receive Gold certifications in Australia, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Poland, Sweden and the United States, as well as a Platinum certification in Ellie Goulding’s home country of the UK.
In 2021, the song re-surfaced again when it became a hit Tik Tok song, which caused it to climb charts in several countries again.
No wonder really, as ‘Still Falling for You‘ is a damned good and very catchy song.
