Empire of the Sun‘s ‘High and Low‘ was featured on the latest episode of ‘Lethal Weapon‘ this week — Season 1, Episode 10, “Homebodies“. The track was heard as the DJ explains to Murtaugh how the party works, and then Riggs puts on the headphones to listen.
‘High and Low‘ is the first single from the electronic duo’s third album Two Vines, which was released last year. The album was recorded in Hawaii, and includes collaborations with Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham, Prince and the Revolution’s Wendy Melvoin and pianist Henry Hey.
As for Empire of the Sun, they are from Sydney, Australia. The duo released their debut album in 2008, which ended up being a massive hit for the pair. They are known for their flamboyant stage performances and elaborate headdresses, as well as for their superb synth pop/glam rock.
