British singer Engelbert Humperdinck’s ‘Quando, Quando, Quando‘ was that rad song humorously playing on the new season of The Umbrella Academy during the big supermarket fight — The Umbrella Academy, Season 3, Episode 2, “World’s Biggest Ball of Twine“.
The song was released by Engelbert Humperdinck in 1968 on his third studio album A Man Without Love.
It is an English version of the original Italian song, which came out in 1962 after it was one of the songs performed at the Sanremo Music Festival. It was eventually awarded fourth place in the competition.
American singer Pat Boone was the first artist to record ‘Quando, Quando, Quando‘ in English but, since then, it has been released by many others including Cliff Richard, who also released his version in 1968, as well as Michael Bublé and Sergio Franchi.
Listen to Engelbert Humperdinck’s ‘Quando, Quando, Quando‘ as heard on the third season of The Umbrella Academy on his A Man Without Love album, and in the live performance he gave of the song back in 1975.
The latest season of The Umbrella Academy is now streaming via Netflix.
