British rock band Free’s ‘Alright Now‘ was featured on the new The CW superhero series Superman & Lois this week — Superman & Lois, Season 1, Episode 15, “Last Sons of Krypton” — which was aired on August 17th, 2021.
The song was heard playing as everyone is at the barbecue.
Free’s ‘Alright Now‘ was originally released on the band’s third studio album Fire and Water, which arrived via the island record label in June, 1970.
The song was written by bassist Andy Fraser and singer Paul Rodger.
The track was an enormous hit for the band, hitting the #2 spot on the United Kingdom’s Singles chart, and #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
The song was also re-released three years later, becoming a big hit in the UK where it was certified Silver.
‘Alright Now‘ eventually charted in more than 20 countries, with the track’s highest showing in Sweden and Denmark where it reached the top spot in both countries.
