The CW’s crime drama In The Dark continues to feature superb songs on its soundtrack, including this one — American rock band Garbage’s ‘Only Happy When It Rains‘, which showed up on In The Dark, Season 4, Episode 3, “If Books Could Kill” last night.
The classic Garbage song was playing as Max and Murphy are making out.
Garbage’s ‘Only Happy When It Rains‘ is the second single from the indie rock band’s self-titled debut studio album.
The single was released in September, 1995.
It subsequently charted high in eight countries, including the United States where it hit #2 on the U.S. Rock and Metal chart and #16 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart.
‘Only Happy When It Rains‘ has gone on to become a Garbage signature song, and such a popular song it has also been covered by the likes of Metallica and The Pretenders.
The rock track has also been licensed for play on numerous hit shows including Homicide: Life on the Street, Cruel Summer, The Secret Circle, Little Fires Everywhere and The X-Files.
