American songwriter and rapper GZA’s ‘Liquid Swords‘ was that cool rap song played on Industry last night — Industry, Season 2, Episode 7, “Lone Wolf and Cub“.
The song was played as Jesse is sitting at his terminal and Gus arrives, and was then played again over the episode’s end credits.
GZA’s ‘Liquid Swords‘ was first released as the title track and second single of his 13-track sophomore studio album of the same name. An album that was released in 1995 on the Geffen label.
It charted on three American charts — at #3 on the U.S. Hot Rap Songs chart, #33 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and at #48 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The track also features vocals from Wu-Tang Clan member RZA (aka Robert Fitzgerald Diggs).
Not surprising, of course, as GZA is one of the founding members of the now iconic hip hop group as well.

It is one of six studio albums the rapper has released, with his last one coming out in 2008.
