Listen to Haim’s ‘Los Angeles’ from Maggie, Season 1, Episode 1, “Things Begin Where They End”

American indie pop band Haim’s ‘Los Angeles‘ was one of the cool pop songs played on the soundtrack of the new Hulu series Maggie this week — in this case, on Maggie, Season 1, Episode 1, “Things Begin Where They End“.

The song was heard right at the beginning of the first episode of the show as Maggie is giving a psychic reading, and is the third track on the the all-girl band’s third studio album Women in Music Pt. III, which came out on the Columbia record label in June, 2020.

An expanded edition featuring five more tracks was released a few months later.

Women in Music Pt. III was a big hit for the three-sisters band (Este, Danielle and Alana Haim) charting at #1 on two U.S. charts — Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts.

It also charted at #1 on the UK Albums chart, as well as high on charts in 16 other countries, and went on to be certified Platinum in the UK.

Haim‘s album was also incredibly popular with music critics, being named as one of the Top 50 Albums of 2020 on numerous iconic lists.

The album was eventually nominated for a Grammy Award for Album of the Year, eventually losing out to Taylor Swift’s Folklore.

Haim’s ‘Los Angeles’ was written about the city the sisters grew up in and love.
