One of the pieces of music that stood out in Avengers: Endgame, the latest Marvel movies, is Harry James and His Orchestra’s ‘It’s Been a Long, Long Time‘. A piece of orchestral music and a song that seems to fit more in a Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers movie than one released in 2019.
Especially one about superheroes.
The track was played in Avengers: Endgame as Steve and Peggy dance, and during the end credits.
‘It’s Been a Long, Long Time’ is also more than likely a song you have heard many times. Especially if you watch old movies, as it was such a huge hit at the end of World War II.
Due to that, the song kept appearing in films or as a new recording from artists like Bing Crosby, Doris Day, Rosemary Clooney, Chet Atkins, Guy Mitchell and Peggy Lee for decades to come.
Harry James and His Orchestra’s ‘It’s Been a Long, Long Time‘ was originally written by Jule Styne (Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Funny Girl) and Sammy Cahn (‘Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!).
The version of the song that is the one usually played is Harry James and His Orchestra’s ‘It’s Been a Long, Long Time’ with vocals by Kitty Kallen.

As for Avengers: Endgame, it stars Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Brie Larson, Mark Ruffalo, Josh Brolin and Bradley Cooper.
It was released this week, and is already on track to be the highest-grossing movie of all time.
