IZA’s ‘I Put A Spell On You‘ showcases her massive voice
Brazilian R& B/pop singer IZA’s ‘I Put A Spell On You‘ was featured on the new Netflix fantasy drama Chilling Adventures of Sabrina this week — Season 1, Episode 1, “Chapter One: October Country“.
The song was played as Sabrina is walking from the bathroom to Ambrose’s bedroom, so that the pair can cast a spell on her principal.
IZA’s ‘I Put A Spell On You’ is a non-album single that the 28-year-old singer released back in 2017. Since then, she has released several other singles, as well as her debut album.
That album, Dona de Mim, was released on the Warner Music Brasil label in April of this year.
As for IZA, she was signed to the Warner record label a couple of years ago, after earning a huge following on her YouTube channel with her videos of covers of famous songs.
She also uploaded the same covers to her Soundcloud and Spotify accounts, which earned her millions of plays.
The original version of ‘I Put A Spell On You‘ was written and recorded in 1956 by  Jalacy “Screamin’ Jay” Hawkins. Since then, the song has become somewhat of a cult classic.
