Listen to Jackson 5’s ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ from I Hate Christmas S2 opening and ending

It’s that time of year again and, along with the usual Christmas festivities you will likely be seeing everywhere, that also means Netflix is back with a ton of Christmas entertainment.

Including the second season of the Italian romantic drama I Hate Christmas, which showed up on Netflix yesterday and, like the first season, features some banging music on its soundtrack.

Music like Jackson 5’s ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town‘, which not only started the season off right as it was used as the opening song for I Hate Christmas, Season 2, Episode 1, “Queen Christmas“, but also the final song on the season at the end of Episode 6.

When did Jackson 5 release ‘Santa Clause is Coming to Town‘ and for what album?

While the classic Christmas song ‘Santa Clause is Coming to Town‘ was first released way back in the mid-1930s by bandleader Harry Reser and his band, Bing Crosby, the Andrews Sisters and the Four Seasons made the song popular in the years to come.

In more recent years, the Christmas classic has also been recorded by Mariah Carey, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Isaak and Michael Bublé, to name just a few.

The Jackson 5 released their cover version of ‘Santa Clause is Coming to Town‘ as the lead single from the music group’s first Christmas album, which came out in late 1970, and was plainly titled Jackson 5 Christmas Album.

So that fans couldn’t be confused as to what the American pop music group was offering, eh?

The group’s album has since been called one of the best ever Christmas albums by music critics, and with the Jackson 5’s ‘Santa Clause is Coming to Town’ still often played on radio stations around the world during the Christmas season.

Oddly ‘Santa Clause is Coming to Town‘ also charted high on singles charts around the world in 2011, when it hit #33 on the Billboard Hot 100 and then went on to chart in 11 other countries including the United Kingdom.

Listen to Jackson 5’s ‘Santa Clause is Coming to Town‘ as heard at the beginning and end of I Hate Christmas in the group’s music video, and via their Jackson 5 Christmas Album on Spotify below.

As for the Italian romantic comedy drama, both seasons of I Hate Christmas are now streaming on Netflix worldwide.
