Alternative rock band Jane’s Addictions’ ‘Stop‘ was featured at the beginning of the latest episode of the hit medical drama The Resident last night — The Resident, Season 3, Episode 6, “Nurse’s Day” (aired on November 12th, 2019).
Jane’s Addiction’s ‘Stop‘ is from the band’s sophomore studio album Ritual de lo habitual, which was released in 1990.
After getting heavy rotation on MTV, the track became a surprise hit for the indie band hitting the number 1 spot on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart.
Since then it has become an iconic song for Jane’s Addiction, and has been featured on a slew of video games, including Guitar Hero II, Burnout Paradise and Rock Band 4.
It has also made appearances in TV shows and films like American Dad! and Anger Management.
In later years, ‘Stop‘ has shown up on the lists of a number of music critics as one of the best rock songs of the 1990s.
