Jess Glynne’s ‘My Love‘ acoustic version was featured on Grey’s Anatomy on Thursday night — (April 28th, Season 12, Episode 21 — “You’re Gonna Need Someone On Your Side“). The track is from Glynne’s 2015 album I Cry When I Laugh, and was played when Arizona walks away from Penny after losing her temper. And, yes, it’s beautiful.
As for Glynne, she is a British singer-songwriter who hit the big time in the UK last year with five number one singles, a feat that has only been equaled by Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
Her debut album, the aforementioned I Cry When I Laugh, also debuted in the number one spot on the charts.
Glynne’s singing style is often talked about as having a “raw power” or “fierce emotion” to it. Something that has definitely paid off when it comes to the songs she releases as they really do touch your heart.
