Jim Croce’s ‘Tomorrow’s Gonna Be a Brighter Day‘ was released on the singer’s third studio album You Don’t Mess Around with Jim in 1972 via ABC Records.

An event that happened after the album had been originally turned down by more than 40 other record labels.

The album spawned two singles —  the title track, and ‘Operator (That’s Not The Way It Feels)’.

A third single ‘Time in a Bottle’ was then released a year later soon after Croce’s death, and immediately shot to the #1 spot on three different Billboard charts.

The album itself’ became an enormous hit for Croce as well, spending a total of 93 weeks on the charts in the United States.
