Listen to Joan Armatrading’s ‘Down to Zero’ from Moonshine, S3 E5 end scene

British folk pop singer Joan Armatrading’s ‘Down to Zero‘ was one of the songs played on the new episode of the Amazon Prime Video series Moonshine this week — Moonshine, Season 3, Episode 5, “How to Lose Friends and Sh*t-Can Your Reputation“.

The song was heard at the end of the episode as Wes tells the Finley-Cullens his father is planning to knock down Moonshine so his resort will have superb unobstructed views from every room.

He can do that, he said, because he’s very very rich.

Joan Armatrading’s ‘Down to Zero‘ was first released in 1976 as one of the songs released on the singer’s self-titled third studio album.

Released as a single from the album, the track did not chart but still went on to become a fan favorite.

Her third album, however, charted in the UK, New Zealand, Canada and Australia as well as in the United States where it hit #67 on the Billboard 200 chart.

It was also named by several music critics as one of last century’s most important and best albums, with the album also being included in the best-selling book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

More recently, Armatrading also gave a live performance of the song at the Folk Awards in London in 2016. You can watch that below as well.
