Listen to Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’s ‘I Hate Myself For Loving You’ from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, S5 E4 end credits

The Amazon Prime Video period comedy drama The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel continues its fifth season this week with the inclusion of yet more cool music on its soundtrack.

Songs like Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’s ‘I Hate Myself For Loving You‘, which showed up playing over the The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Season 5, Episode 4, “Susan” end credits.

Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’s ‘I Hate Myself For Loving You‘ came out in 1988 as the first single from the American hard rock band’s sixth studio album Up Your Alley.

The track went on to become the first hit the band had had since the early 1980s, as it climbed to #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #10 on the Top 100 Singles chart.

I Hate Myself For Loving You‘ also charted high in six other countries — the United Kingdom, Paraguay, Sweden, the Netherlands, Canada and New Zealand with its highest placing at #8 in New Zealand.

It has since become one of Joan Jett & the Blackheart’s most popular songs.

The band itself, while still together, is not the original band or any one of the several incarnations it has had over the last 40-plus years.

Instead, it now consists of Jett alongside Dougie Needles, Hal B. Selzer and Michael McDermott.

The music they produce, though, is just as good.

Listen to Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’s ‘I Hate Myself For Loving You‘ as heard on this week’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in the song’s music video, and on the Spotify player.

The fifth season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
