Listen to Joan Jett’s ‘Bad Reputation’ from Red, White & Royal Blue – movie is terrible, soundtrack is cool

The new LGBT movie Red, White & Royal Blue premiered on Amazon Prime this weekend and, while the film is badly-written, even more badly-acted, trite and completely unbelievable (no, I didn’t finish watching it, it really is that bad), it does feature some pretty decent music on its soundtrack.

Songs that include Joan Jett’s ‘Bad Reputation‘, which was the song playing over the credits at the beginning of the film right after Henry and Alex have the wedding cake fall on them.

Joan Jett’s ‘Bad Reputation‘ was written by the American rock singer and released as the title track of her debut studio album back in 1980.

Weirdly, however, the song was only released as a single in Germany.

Later on, however, ‘Bad Reputation’ became a big hit in the United States and went on to become one of the most critically-acclaimed rock songs of the last century as well as Jett’s most popular song.

In recent years, the track has also been placed on several high-profile critics’ lists as one of the best/most influential rock songs ever created.

Listen to Joan Jett’s ‘Bad Reputation‘ in the song’s official music video below. A video that was not released until a couple of years after the song originally came out.

You can also hear ‘Bad Reputation‘ via the American singer’s debut studio album on Spotify, where it has currently been streamed more than 100 million times.

As for Red, White and Royal Blue, if you must watch the badly-acted film, it is now streaming via Amazon Prime Video.
