Listen to K.C. & The Sunshine Band’s ‘Please Don’t Go’ from Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Episode 2

While the new Netflix crime drama DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story doesn’t feature a huge number of songs on its soundtrack, the songs played on it are pretty damned good.

Songs like K.C. & The Sunshine Band’s ‘Please Don’t Go‘, which showed up on Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Episode 2 this week.

That song was heard as Dahmer is back in his room, drinking beer and playing with the mannequin he stole from the clothing store.

K.C. & The Sunshine Band’s ‘Please Don’t Go‘ was the second single the band released from their sixth studio album Do You Wanna Go Party.

That album was released by the disco/funk band in mid-1979 on the TK record label.

While a huge success for the band, hitting charts in 13 countries including the U.S., and #1 in three of them, it was the last big success K.C. & The Sunshine Band had as the original band, as they broke up in 1979 and founder Harry Wayne Casey (aka K.C.) went solo.

The song itself is written from the perspective of wishing the person the singer loves would not leave, but give him another chance instead.

Listen to K.C. & The Sunshine Band’s ‘Please Don’t Go‘ from Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story in the video.

You can also hear the track on the funk band’s Do You Wanna Go Party album.
