Listen to K. Flay’s ‘Blood in the Cut‘ from Taken, now that’s a song with attitude
K. Flay’s hugely successful 2016 single ‘Blood in the Cut‘ showed up on the newest episode of the NBC TV series ‘Taken‘ — Season 2, Episode 1, “S.E.R.E.” last night. (January 12th, 2018)
The track was played right at the beginning of the episode as the fight in the prison erupts.
K. Flay’s ‘Blood in the Cut‘ is from her EP Crush Me and also from her second album Every Where Is Some Where, which was released in April last year on the Interscope label.
Since then, the track has received a Grammy nomination for the 2018 Grammy Awards in the Best Rock Song category.
The Grammy Awards will be held on January 28th, and K. Flay is nominated in the category along with Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, Nothing More and Metallica.
Taken is not the first TV show ‘Blood in the Cut‘ has been featured on, however, as it has proven to be a quite popular choice for music supervisors. Since its release in 2016, the track has already appeared on Teen Wolf, Bojack Horseman and in the Forza Motorsport 7 trailer.
