The Icelandic indie rock band Kaleo‘s ‘Hot Blood‘ was featured on the latest episode of ‘The Vampire Diaries‘ this week — Season 8, Episode 9, “The Intimacy of the Near Touch“. It was played at the beginning of the episode as Damon looks at Elena’s necklace and, as Stefan arrives, hides it, and then as Sybil calls Damon.
‘Hot Blood‘ is from A/B, Kaleo’s second studio album, which received generally positive reviews.
As for Kaleo, they hail from Mosfellsbær in Iceland, where they were founded in 2012. They garnered their first major international attention with their hit single ‘All the Pretty Girls‘, which eventually led to them deciding to relocate to Austin, Texas.
Since then, their music has been featured on a wide number of TV shows, including Suits and Grey’s Anatomy, and the band themselves have become popular on late night shows like Conan and Late Night with Seth Meyers.
