American rapper and singer Kid Cudi’s ‘Mr. Rager‘ showed up on the soundtrack of last night’s episode of The Cleaning Lady — The Cleaning Lady, Season 1, Episode 9, “Coming Home Again“.
The song was playing as Thony is arrested, and as Nadia and Arman discover Carlos’ body in boxes that have been left in the kitchen.
Kid Cudi’s ‘Mr. Rager‘ first came out as the second single from the rapper’s sophomore studio album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, which was released in 2010 via Universal Motown.
The song written about someone with a destructive personality was actually written about Kid Cudi himself.
The rapper was going through depression and struggling to handle excessive drug use during the time he wrote and recorded the album.
A self-destructive time in his life he has since said he regrets.
‘Mr. Rager‘ became one of Kid Cudi’s most recognized song, however, after YouTube personality Ben Breedlove released a video about the song and about the rapper, who he idolized, just a week before he died of heart failure at the age of just 18 years old.
Breedlove had heard the song playing and had ‘met’ Kid Cudi during a near-death experience just a week before he died.
