Listen to Kool & The Gang’s ‘Hollywood Swinging’ from Reboot Season 1, Episode 1

American R&B/funk band Kool & The Gang’s ‘Hollywood Swinging‘ was one of the tracks played on the new Hulu comedy series Reboot last night — Reboot, Season 1, Episode 1, “Step Right Up”.

The track was played as we see Reed (Keegan-Michael Key) on his way to Los Angeles.

The Reboot series tells the story of a group of strange and quite dysfunctional cast members of a hit sitcom in the early 2000s.

The drama is currently getting mostly “average” ratings from viewers.

Kool & The Gang’s ‘Hollywood Swinging‘ was released in 1974 on Wild and Peaceful, the group’s fourth studio album.

‘Hollywood Swinging‘ was the third single from the album, and ended up being the band’s first R&B single, making it to #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, as well as to #6 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song was eventually certified Gold in the U.S.

The group’s Wild and Peaceful album became an enormous hit for the band as well due to its second single ‘Jungle Boogie’, which charted high in the U.S. and then became popular in American dance clubs.

Listen to Kool & The Gang’s ‘Hollywood Swinging‘ as heard on Reboot this week on their Wild and Peaceful album, and in the video.

You can watch Reboot on Hulu.
