Kool & the Gang’s ‘Ladies Night‘ was one of the stellar songs played on the soundtrack of Reboot this week — Reboot, Season 1, Episode 4, “Girlfriends“.
The cool R&B funk song was released in 1979 as the lead single from the band’s 11th studio album of the same name.
It went on to become a big hit for the American R&B/soul/funk band, as the track hit charts in seven European countries as well as in the United States.
‘Ladies Night‘ had its biggest success when it made it to #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which also helped the song to be certified Gold in the U.S. soon after.
Since its release by Kook & the Gang, ‘Ladies Night‘ has gone on to also be recorded by British group Atomic Kitten, who had a hit single in the UK with the song in 2003. Proving once an awesome song, always an awesome song, eh?
